In
1983, Club Secretary, Fintan
Mussen, in his report to the Annual General Meeting paid tribute to Sean Matthews, Pat
Matthews and Sean Cairns for their efforts in the development of Hurling in the club.
The Senior team was beaten in the final of
the Special Junior Hurling Championship. The following year (1984) the Club won the Special U14
Centenary Hurling Championship against Mayobridge.
In 1991 the U16 team won the County 'B' Championship
Padraig Matthews and Francis Quinn were in
the Down Minor Hurling team that won the Ulster championship in 1994.
The big break-through in Hurling in
Clonduff came in 1996 when they won the Down Junior Hurling Championship, League Division 2 and Junior Feis 7s.
In 1998 Paddy Branagan became the 1st Clonduff player to be
named in a Down Senior Hurling squad.
Four Clonduff men played in the Down
Junior Hurling team in 1999. Allister McGilligan, Paddy Branagan, Paul McCusker and Sean Curran played
their part in Down's progress to the Ulster Junior Hurling Final. Sadly they were
well beaten by Tyrone on Sunday 6 June.
Some Rostrevor Senior players joined
with Clonduff for the 2000
season due to insufficient numbers in both clubs.
In July 2000 Clonduff Hurlers (no Rostrevor boys involved) win Fiddler's
Green 7-a-side Tournament! They previously lost 7-a-side County Junior Final
John Anthony Gribben,
Clonduff and Inter-county Referee is Linesman in Croke Park in All Ireland
Hurling Final.

The club's senior hurlers, under Gerard McNeill's
management made their own little bit of
history on
Saturday 14th April 2007 when for the first time in the
history of the club they played in an Ulster League
game against Donegal side Four Masters
and played at Tattyreagh near Omagh
